Ok, so I know I've been horribly behind on the posts. I think I was waiting to hear the dreaded words "bed rest" and saving updating until I had to be immobile. But, here we are, almost 31 weeks and no official restrictions have been imposed. In fact, other than a little back pain (I took a fall a few weeks ago and managed to put myself on bed rest for a few days) everything is going really well. The girls are growing well, about 3 pounds each and 15 inches long, and so am I, about 47 inches around! You can actually watch the girls in action from across the room with my new belly dancing moves! Chad and Mom decided that 2 weeks ago I was the same size as the morning we went in to deliver Cassidy...We only have 7 weeks to go and I'm beginning to think I might just make it without having to be on full bed rest. I am taking it easy, and it's getting easier with this big belly in my way. But I am now setting a serious goal to get the blog updated before the girls come, so keep checking back and scrolling back. I've made rough drafts of most posts so they should stay in chronological order...Hope you enjoy, we've been having a lot of fun with Cassidy! She's an amazing little girl

July
July brought some nice weather, a visit from Grandma Margie and the 4th of July parade, crabbing, haying, Cassidy's new favorite job of filling the bird feeders, a wonderful shower and a visit from an amazing friend
Cassidy learned quickly how to be fast and get the good candy, not to mention how to look cute and wave so the parade participants would be sure to throw the good stuff her way
Crabbing opened and we got one nice day to go out. We came close to our limit (9/10) before my back was done bouncing in the boat...it was tough calling it a day, but we had enough for dinner and crab cakes. Chad has been out a few more times with friends. This was the first year Cassidy decided she liked crab and wanted to "help" clean them..she really just wanted to eat them!
July also brought a surprisingly sweet crop of Strawberries. Cassidy and I froze 30 pounds for smoothies, oatmeal and other yummy things this winter. Now we just have to wait for the blueberries and raspberries to get ripe!
Cassidy loves to watch the birds (and squirrels) eat from her bird feeders which leads to her new favorite job of filling the feeders!

Haying was done in a flash after hours of debate on if the weather would hold. Chad made the final call and started cutting and we got the hay in successfully once again. Cassidy had a ball salting with Auntie Lisa, riding on the hay wagon with the cousins, and driving the truck with Auntie Lori

Admidst the work party, Cari threw us a wonderful and fun baby shower and our friend Jessica came up for a surprise visit. It was the perfect way to end a busy and fun month
The Pruiett family held to tradition of making me cry during baby showers by giving each twin their own quilt that all family members worked to to finish and a beautiful poem to go with them.
Decorating onseies..yes those are all the guys, and the very cute center pieces
Jessica and Cassidy hit it off quickly and Cassidy found someone who loved to read books, explore outside and the jackpot; paint her fingernails and toenails in crazy fun patterns! We had to take Jess to the airport on Monday and every since each airplane that Cassidy sees is "Jessica's airplane".

June
June was a pretty full month. We finally got some nice weather
Grandma Kit got back from Hawaii, bringing of course a pretty dress and flowers for Cassidy's hair
Mossy has survived and she and Cassidy continue to be good friends. They are still working out some issues, but are really doing pretty well
Cassidy and Rocky spending some quality time together. My old boy does a great job with Cassidy and really perks up with the job of taking care of her. It's very special for me to see them together
My Baby Shower from school, filled with lots of good wishes, support, and fun
Father's Day and Mossy's new training vest.
The last week in June, right after school got out, Auntie Cari took us to the ZOO!
Some of Cass's favorites; the snow leopard, the aviary where she got to have the birds land on her arm, and of course the pink flamingos
Hanging with Auntie Cari is pretty great, but not good enough to share her ice-cream!
Cassidy got to feed the Giraffes with Cari. She was pretty impressed
