September and October Fun

September and October were a little crazy busy with me starting back to work part time, Cassidy starting a new school and all of us adjusting to a new schedule where it feels like Chad and I are two ships passing in the driveway!  Chad gets home and I'm off to work while he watches the girls in the morning and when I get home he's off to bed and then up and back to work.  It's worth it though being able to keep the girls with us and me getting a little balance in my life.
Here are some of the highlights...
Cassidy's first day of pre-school
Cleaning up some of our garden harvest
A special visit from Aunt Sue and Uncle Wayne
Cassidy still finds time to ride Ziggy and her new favorite is to drive the 4-wheeler....look out, she's a speed demon!  She also has mastered the hula hoop...much better then both me and Chad! It's amazing she learned with us as her teachers!
Some of the girls' antics have been quite entertaining...I swear what one doesn't think of the other does and they are great cheerleaders for eachother
What I get thinking putting the baby gate up to make it easier to unload the
costco run...I guess they didn't like that idea much!
Rylee thinks it's great to scale Cassidy's bunk bed ladder
Rylee pushes one of the chairs over to be able to climb up and get into the
great stuff on Cassidy's red table
Pretty sure Sawyer led the charge on this one...front and center
Teamwork!  Sawyer pushing Rylee
Cass and Rylee
We got to go up to a horse expo and Cassidy was in haven...she loved watching the vaulting and I finally had to pry her away from the cowboy challenge race as it was 8:30 pm and every one else was done.  It was really fun watching her and dreaming of all our horse adventures to come!
Brady's birthday up north and the twins provided the entertainment
Aunt Mary teaching Rylee bad habits!
Cassidy and I got very into using the apples up over at the barn and got pretty good at making "Horse Barn" applesauce.  I have to say the peeler/corer that I bought was some of the best money I've spent lately.  Cass could get an apple ready for the pot in about 30 seconds, grinning the whole time, and it's pretty funny seeing the horses with spaghetti apple peels hanging out of their mouths!
Another great adventure was G'ma Kit treating us to Disney Princess's on Ice.  Cassidy was so excited and was spellbound by all the costumes and skating, not to mention getting to be with her cousins and G'ma...oh yeah, and Mom
It did seem like we battled colds most of October which did lead to some nice snuggle time with our other wise way too busy girls.  Here's Chad taking advantage of Sawyer needing some quiet time

Some Favorites

So out of the many, 253 to be exact on just my camera, pictures that have been taken over this last week, I wanted to share some of my favorites that may or may not have gotten into other posts.

Grandma's are great fun
Cousins are the best...
a little post-party party
My girls...I can't wait until Ry and Sawyer can join this gang of "Aunties"
Chad, Dad, Bryce, Jessica and Cassidy managed to sneak in some crabbing between parties
It was so awesome to have Dad here to see the girls' (this one is Sawyer) first steps.
Cassidy continues to amaze me with her graciousness and love towards her sisters
Just too cute not to share!

1 Year??

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYLEE AND SAWYER!
Holy cow, what a year!  We've gone from this....
Both babies in the same bouncer seat at 3 weeks old
To this....Sawyer is in purple, Rylee in pink
My 3 beautiful girls...full of smiles, curiosity and fun
 I have to say though.....

This is my favorite-look at those rolls!  I love it, we've come so far!
Rylee and Sawyer are both happy, healthy and typically developing 1 year olds...Amen!
Both took their first steps a few days before turning one, yes on the same day, but you could argue that Rylee was a few days before that but only if she wasn't thinking about it!  They both have gotten their two front bottom teeth in, Sawyer about 3 weeks before Ry.  Both love being outside and on the go. They are climbing, slidding, pushing and having a ball with anything that is not nailed down and Sawyer has the sweetest lil' "Mama" cry.  What more can a Mama ask for?  They are perfect

Party Party!

Not just because they are twins, but we had two great parties to celebrate Rylee and Sawyer's first birthdays.  Saturday was the big family party.  Mom and Dad, Bryce and Jessica all came over and the the Pruiett's all came down to help celebrate the BIG occasion.  In some ways I can't believe it's already been a year and in other ways I think surely it's been longer....what a year it has been.  Definitely cause for a party
Jessica and Cassidy did a great job decorating
Sam and Cari came by to give their traditional "Piggy" banks to the girls
the boxes were a bigger hit with the twins, but the piggy banks are beautiful
all ready to go
Sorry about the matching tops, but they were too cute to pass up!  Rylee has on turquoise pants and Sawyer has on purple, so that will help.  The weather was beautiful and the girls were ready to show off their moves

Cake time...not to sure at first, but got into the idea pretty quickly
The grandparents all went together to get the girls little rocking chairs but only one came before the party
which lead to some interesting moments
What a great family...everyone here to help celebrate with us.  THANK YOU!
A day off and then time to party with our friends that helped us make it through this year!
the surrogate grandmas...all wonderful ladies I have had the pleasure working with
Presents got a little crazy as all the kids were there to help, but it was very fun and Thank You to Kevin who had the brilliant idea to start writing names on boxes!
Second round on cake and the girls didn't hesitate!
For round three on the 6th, it was much more quiet.  Just Cassidy, Grandma Margie, the twins and I singing Happy Birthday.  I had gotten smart and stripped them down to their birthday suits to party and good thing, because there was no messin' around this time!
Sawyer
Rylee
What great memories...THANK YOU all who helped us celebrate and make it through this year.  I can't wait for more good stuff this year!
