Baby Wyatt

What is the only thing that would get me to New Mexico for 6 days without my girls?  This girl and her beautiful new baby boy Wyatt!  I'm not going to lie, it was tough being away from my babies for that long, but so worth it to get to spend some time with Carmen and her new family and watch my best friend take on her new, most important job ever.  She is a natural, just like I new she would be.
Oh yeah, and I did get to take a run every morning, by myself, in this beautiful part of the country

And get my baby fix...there really is nothing like these snuggles
Here we go together, on yet another great adventure!
 A beautiful family....

July Preview

July came and kicked summer into full gear around here!  I am still gathering and sorting all the pictures from the adventures, but I have gotten the sense that a preview might be in order.  So here are a few of our highlights from the adventures this month.  Stay tuned for more.....

First came the 4th of July parade.  Cassidy was super excited, remembering all the candy she got last year, and it didn't take too long for the twins to figure it out.
Cassidy and Cari snuggled up waiting for the fireworks.  Chad stayed home with the exhausted twins so we could enjoy the show...such a good guy
Next came haying.  It was so nice this year not having to "beat the rain" and everyone got to help.  The best hay crew with Grandma and Grandpa
Cass worked hard for her pony this year, getting out in front of the truck and rolling bales with her cousins.
 Daddy and his girls
Then it was off to Alta Lake for some camping with Auntie Lori, Uncle Matt, Brady and Lindsey.  We had a great time swimming, bike riding, making s'mores, tubing, fishing and just hanging out.
The morning breakfast look-it may not be pretty but it was fun!
A sweet moment on a walk-they did this without me asking them too! Sawyer is in blue, Rylee has the stripes
After 5 days it was back on the road to head to Dayton and Mule Mania.  All the girls traveled well and we had fun looking for CORN, cows and "tuckers", what they call all horses. Sawyer is pointing something out
In the grandstands at Mule Mania cheering on Papa Doug.  He had quite the cheering section; Mom, Bryce, Jessica, Chad, Cassidy, Rylee, Sawyer, Benell and Ileen and their 3 grandsons, John and Bobbe and all the locals.  He was a crowd favorite and did a great job showing off his driving skills and beautiful team
Cassidy and Papa getting ready for the lead-line gaming events
Cassidy, Belle and I running for the "Watermelon" race, hands-down her favorite since she got to eat a big piece as part of the race.  Cassidy did great entering 4 events, but I think her favorite was riding shotgun with Papa Doug and watching him drive.  We would drag her out of the stands at 10pm every night....
Grandma Margie and Uncle Bryce had the brilliant idea of setting up a little swimming pool to help the girls stay cool at the fairgrounds-us adults wished we could join in with the temperatures right around 100 every day
During the parade on Saturday, Cassidy got to ride up front with Papa and Grandma while the rest of us got a ride in the authentic stage coach.
Cassidy showing off her prizes and Rylee showing off her "western flair"

After Mule Mania it was back home and up to Baker Lake for 5 more days of camping and fishing
 The captain...
MacKenzie was able to join us and we had a blast, even though there wasn't too many fish caught
The mosquito tent was great for dinners-Sawyer in blue
For the few days we've been home in July, the yard has been put to good use and the girls have been having a great time checking and harvesting the garden-Sawyer really likes to do quality control on the zucchinis before getting them to the house, just to make sure they will be ok for dinner
We did get a chance to get out in the salt and filled Cassidy's daily limit on her first crab tag...a proud day for Daddy.  Cassidy was Chad's first mate that day, she helped him do everything when we got home from cleaning up the boat to cleaning the crab.
Ok, so maybe I have enough pictures already...hehehe.  It's just so much fun and super busy, and believe it or not I did leave a few things out...

21 months

21 months and the girls have been exploding in both their motor skills and language.  They are definitely their own girls and are quickly loosing whats left of their "baby-ness" and oh yes they are knocking on that 2 year-old door...loudly!  We have dropped the bottles all together and they have started brushing their 6 teeth.  They have quite a few words that we can understand and a few that others can, but they are trying very hard to produce the sounds and get words distinguished (No, yes, Mama, Daddy, more, out, help, Rylee/Sawyer/Cassidy, Tucker, Ziggy, hi, nigh-nigh, go,bite, ow, drink, thank you).  They are doing a great job listening and we have figured out a pretty good routine for out and about.  They are also consistently helping to clear the table and cleaning up their toys (YAY) as well as taking care of the dogs.  They especially like calling them in from outside, complete with patting their legs.  The hitting has slowed down, thankfully and they are playing and interacting more and more with each other.  My favorite story was them playing peek-a-boo around a stump in the yard, saying "hi" and giggling at each other.
Sawyer on the slide...my physical adventurous girl
Rylee kicked back, exerting her independence instead of cuddling with us before bedtime (thank goodness that didn't last long)
Working together to get that dump truck filled up
 Sawyer
 Rylee
Sawyer in her jammies and my boots, Rylee diaper naked with Cass's boots
We also had our first round of all 3 babies being sick at the same time...the twins with ear infections and Cass with a sore throat.  All had pretty good temps for a few days.  Rylee is modeling what we all felt like in the mornings (with poor sleep and just not feeling well)
With Cassidy no longer needing training wheels I was having a heck of a time keeping up with her pushing the double stroller so...check out the twins new ride!  I had to dust off my bike (about 9 years worth) and now we are pedaling all around with the twins comfortably in their trailer, it even has stash pockets for each of them to help keep them happy.
Sawyer is also very interested in Cassidy's new ride...yes that is a pink go cart!
The girls still love going to the barn and have gotten a few chances to sit up on Tucker and Ziggy.  Sawyer started bouncing and saying go and pitched a fit when I pulled her off.  I LOVE it!  Here they were entertaining themselves with the water trough on a warm day while I unloaded hay...who needs a fancy swimming pool when we have a hose, trough and mud!  They may have had to ride home diaper naked in the truck, but it was well worth it!
Crazy, busy and full of life....my beautiful girls!

Go Cass Go!

I know I'm missing a few posts (I will get there) but I had to share today. Look what Cassidy can do on 2 wheels!

She is starting to get some confidence so I don't think it will be too much longer and she will be headed across "her" bridge. GO CASS GO!
