21 months

21 months and the girls have been exploding in both their motor skills and language.  They are definitely their own girls and are quickly loosing whats left of their "baby-ness" and oh yes they are knocking on that 2 year-old door...loudly!  We have dropped the bottles all together and they have started brushing their 6 teeth.  They have quite a few words that we can understand and a few that others can, but they are trying very hard to produce the sounds and get words distinguished (No, yes, Mama, Daddy, more, out, help, Rylee/Sawyer/Cassidy, Tucker, Ziggy, hi, nigh-nigh, go,bite, ow, drink, thank you).  They are doing a great job listening and we have figured out a pretty good routine for out and about.  They are also consistently helping to clear the table and cleaning up their toys (YAY) as well as taking care of the dogs.  They especially like calling them in from outside, complete with patting their legs.  The hitting has slowed down, thankfully and they are playing and interacting more and more with each other.  My favorite story was them playing peek-a-boo around a stump in the yard, saying "hi" and giggling at each other.
Sawyer on the slide...my physical adventurous girl
Rylee kicked back, exerting her independence instead of cuddling with us before bedtime (thank goodness that didn't last long)
Working together to get that dump truck filled up

We also had our first round of all 3 babies being sick at the same time...the twins with ear infections and Cass with a sore throat.  All had pretty good temps for a few days.  Rylee is modeling what we all felt like in the mornings (with poor sleep and just not feeling well)
With Cassidy no longer needing training wheels I was having a heck of a time keeping up with her pushing the double stroller so...check out the twins new ride!  I had to dust off my bike (about 9 years worth) and now we are pedaling all around with the twins comfortably in their trailer, it even has stash pockets for each of them to help keep them happy.
Sawyer is also very interested in Cassidy's new ride...yes that is a pink go cart!
The girls still love going to the barn and have gotten a few chances to sit up on Tucker and Ziggy.  Sawyer started bouncing and saying go and pitched a fit when I pulled her off.  I LOVE it!  Here they were entertaining themselves with the water trough on a warm day while I unloaded hay...who needs a fancy swimming pool when we have a hose, trough and mud!  They may have had to ride home diaper naked in the truck, but it was well worth it!
Crazy, busy and full of life....my beautiful girls!

Go Cass Go!

I know I'm missing a few posts (I will get there) but I had to share today. Look what Cassidy can do on 2 wheels!

She is starting to get some confidence so I don't think it will be too much longer and she will be headed across "her" bridge. GO CASS GO!

March Madness

March was a little busy around here, even for us!  We had a few trips, but while we were home, we got some beautiful weather and spent a lot of time outside!  Check out my 3 busy and amazing girls....
Cassidy loves working on her puzzles, practicing her gymnastics skills, going for bicycle rides and seeing all the spring flowers that are coming...even if they are dandelions
Both twins have come so far in their gross motor skills, to the point of throwing a fit if I dare to put them in the wagon to go to the barn...but what better way to spend an hour and half!
Oh Rylee, where to start!  She is usually right in the middle of whatever is going on.  She is working on not biting and hitting right now, but when she isn't expressing her strong opinions she is loving, sweet and full of it!
Sawyer, sweet Sawyer.  She is loving and quiet, unless there is a physical challenge.  This girl can climb anything and is determined to do so along with getting into everything she can...she is a big helper!

How they like to play.
I gave up on trying to keep the twins from climbing the ladder up the playset. They would try to climb over whatever I put in thier way and I decided that was probably more dangerous! They are fearless, sometimes good sometimes bad
So why so much time outside?  Easy the girls are happy, easily entertained and this is what they do when they are inside...
and are quite pleased with themselves!

Another highlight was that my dear friend Carmen came to visit.  She is 6mo pregnant with her first baby, Wyatt, and we were on a mission to get his closet full.  We did a pretty good job and managed to fill the extra suitcase that Carmen brought.

We had a great time with Auntie Carmen and I can't wait to get down there this summer to visit her and meet Wyatt!

It's amazing how busy we are and how little I get done, but we do have fun!

Easter

Easter arrived with beautiful weather and a very excited Cassidy.  We also had Carmen here for a visit and Cass put her right to work decorating eggs.
With the help of Craig's List and a secrete Easter Bunny mission, the Easter Bunny delivered a great outside toy (well, it will be this summer) that all 3 girls can use.
"Alli" got put right to use!
Sawyer (pictured) and Rylee both got into hunting eggs, but had to stop after finding each egg to get to the goodies inside.  This was the beginning of 2 sets of eggs, one for Cassidy and one for the twins.  Cassidy was a good sport and made sure she only found the "big-girl" eggs and was happy to "help" the twins find theirs.
My beautiful girls in their Easter dresses before church.  Cassidy coordinated all outfits and did a great job!  Rylee has the flowers and Sawyer the stripes
After church and a quick nap, we woke up Chad and headed north for the big family gathering.  With Mount Baker as the beautiful backdrop, it was a gorgeous day and lots of fun.
The cousins...Caden, Lindsey,Sawyer, Cassidy, Rylee, Alexa and Brady
Let the games begin!  Cass getting a lift from Alexa and maybe a little spot from Uncle Matt

 The girls
This was the best picture I got of my 3 girls once the twins figured out there were goodies in these eggs too!
Grandma Kit and Lisa said that the candy was going in a bowl, but I seriously have my doubts since there was no crying and my girls are VERY focused.....hmmmmm
I think this is Rylee but honestly I don't know...it's just too cute not to share and they both have the same teeth to show off!
We also got to celebrate Caden's birthday and Sawyer got her first taste of whip cream out of a can...I think she is a fan!
It was a beautiful day.  We are so blessed with a wonderful family and a great group of cousins...yay!
