woodland

On Chad's 3 day weekend we made a trip down to Woodland to spend time with extended family.  Howard and Sue were wonderful hosts.  Sue absolutely loved being around the babies and the babies loved being around her!
Don enjoying being with the babies
Uncle Bob getting some smiles from Sawyer

Sue getting the hang of double duty!  She did great
So while Sue had the babies covered, we decided it would be a great time to teach Mossy to swim.  Chad's dog, Chad should teach right?  Apparently not so much!  Cass and I were the ones getting soaked in the river while Chad tried to hide his smiles and took pictures....not sure how that happened, but Mossy did get over some of her fear of swimming and Cass had a ball

Snugglin' under a blanket watching a movie to get warm was definitly a bonus and worth the cold swim!

Grandma!

It wasn't long after Grandma Margie got back from Tucson that she was back on thev road to see her grandbabies!  Of course she got put right to work, we didn't even let her get dressed in the morning!  We had agreat visit I took advantage of the extra hands, decent weather and local events to have a little family fun!
Kite making and then flying
Rylee in stars and Sawyer working on their sippy cups
Locals night at Tulip town was great!  It's hard to beat half priced face painting and free wagon rides, music and all the flowers you could possibly need to look at!
Our first stop...a pink butterfly of course!
My sweet flower...
My mischievous flower....

Grandma goes home tired, but I'm pretty sure she has a good time!

Thank Goodness for Raspberries

We were having a great night, Chad was on his weekend and I was appreciating my wonderful husband's parenting skills.  He was giving Cassidy and Rylee a bath in the big tub while I had Sawyer in the kitchen sink. She has become way too squirmy for the baby tub and all she wants to do is climb over the side...not good.  Things are going well, both babies were done, Chad had turned the shower on for Cass while we were getting the twins ready for bed.  I had just gotten Sawyer's diaper and onsie on when BANG and crying from the bathroom.  Chad and I look at each other and off I went while he finished getting the twins ready and then started on bottles.  Cass had slipped and bumped her head, nothing serious but being bedtime things are always worse, so by the time she was calmed down with pjs on Chad had both babies in the recliner feeding bottles. Rylee was fussing so after I got Cass's show on I grabbed her to snuggle and finish the bottle.  Sawyer finished first and was quite sleepy so Chad took her to bed.  Rylee was slowly finishing her bottle, paying lots of attention to all that was going on around her and blowing big raspberries.  Wait a second, Rylee doesn't blow raspberries....and doesn't have a belly button that sticks out, and oh yeah, doesn't wear this swaddle.  Ugh.  Chad goes in to switch Sawyer, I mean Rylee, into the right crib and finds her looking at Monkey like she'd never seen it before and wide awake...probably because she rarely sees monkey and was in a totally new bed!  Thank goodness for raspberries...and herniated belly buttons.

Easter

One of Cass's favorite things is to color her easter eggs and this year she got to do it twice.  I was a week early when planning on coloring but why not do it twice?
The Easter bunny came and Cass had the most fun emptying her jelly beans into the bowl...funny how that bunny likes the same thing her mama does.  The twins really enjoyed the bucket and their new toys and we are all looking forward to putting up the swings-it was a great morning!
Then it was time to get ready for our big family Easter dinner...Look at my beautiful girls!
and my beautiful family
Rylee and Auntie Lori
Sawyer having some wiggle time with Uncle Ryan
Dinner was great, a team effort and we almost all fit at the table...not sure what we'll do in a few more years.  Rylee and Sawyer probably won't want to eat in their room, although I bet we can fit two more cute girls in at the bar, but that might be asking for trouble!
After dinner the kids were off to hide the eggs.  The boys hid first for the girls and as usual Lindsay and Alexa were awesome with Cass and they found all the eggs.  Then the girls got to hide for the boys.  Cass was just as excited to hide as she was to find, and she was very happy to help the boys find the eggs, much to Lindsay and Alexa's dismay!

The supervisors...we were lucky enough to have a break in the weather and get some sun

It was a great day.  After every one left, Cassidy was ready to hang the swings.  She is such a good big sister, wanting to be in the middle and getting in on the action of pushing.

A very good day

7 months

7 months....all I can say is smiles!  The girls are so happy these days and are playing and giggling.  They are working on eating some solids, favorites being avacado, sweet potatoes and applesauce.  They get their sippy cups tp practice with, but mostly they are just new toys.  They are both up on all fours rocking, but so far no crawling, but they are by no means stationary.  Sawyer has mastered the roll-look-pivot-roll move to get where she wants to go and Rylee is not far behind.  Bath time has moved to the kitchen sink, neither one wants to stay in the baby tub and they seem to really like it.  Cassidy is looking forward to getting baths together again but for now enjoys helping me in the kitchen.  The girls are starting to show some signs of noticing eachother, but for the most part are pretty into their own thing, however, both track Cassidy if she is anywhere close by and if they need to smile Cass is on the job.  It's great to watch and such a blessing!
